I still have my mother’s recipe box. It’s tin, a little dented on one corner, and every card in it is in someone’s actual handwriting — a splash of vanilla stain on the pound cake card, a note in the margin that just says “double it for Sunday.” That box is where I learned that a good recipe isn’t just instructions. It’s somebody wanting you to have something that works.

I think about that box every time I hear from someone who says they’ve got two hundred recipes saved somewhere — pinned, bookmarked, screenshotted — and can’t tell you the last time they actually cooked one of them. That’s not a cooking problem. That’s an overwhelm problem. And overwhelm is something I know how to fix.

Why I Started This

Between Thursday in the Kitchen, caring for my mom, and rehearsals with two orchestras, my own week runs on routines that actually hold up. Recipes are no different. I don’t want a hundred options staring back at me on a Tuesday at 5:30 — I want one good one, already picked, already tested, ready to go. So I started building that for you.

Ian’s Recipe of the Week Club is exactly what it sounds like: one new recipe, delivered straight to your inbox, every single week. No searching, no scrolling, no forty tabs open trying to decide what’s for dinner. I test every recipe in my own kitchen before it ever reaches yours — that’s the nurse in me, the same person who never recommended a treatment I hadn’t researched first.

What You Get When You Join

  • A new recipe every week, delivered right to your inbox — simple, tested, and built for a real weeknight, not a cooking show.
  • A full step-by-step cooking video with every recipe, starting in September. I’ll walk you through it just like I do live on the show.
  • The full recipe vault, going all the way back to day one. Once you’re in, every recipe I’ve ever sent is yours to search and use whenever you need it.
  • Tips on the tools that make each recipe easier — the same tested, trusted picks I talk about every Thursday.

And here’s the part I want you to hear clearly: all of it is completely free. No catch, no spam, ever. Just good food and good vibes, and you can unsubscribe anytime you want. I built this the way I’d want a nurse to hand me instructions — clear, useful, and never something you have to fight through to get value out of.

A Tip Before You Join

Whatever email you use most — the one you actually open — use that one. This isn’t a newsletter you’ll want buried in a folder you check twice a year. It’s meant to land in your inbox on the day you’re already asking, “what’s for dinner?” and hand you the answer before you even have to think about it.

Let’s Get You Cooking

If you’ve ever felt like you own more recipes than you’ll ever cook, or you just want dinner to be one less decision in an already full week, this club was built for you. Simpler routines, less overwhelm, better results — one recipe at a time.
