Why Trust My Recommendations?
That’s a fair question — and I think you should ask it of anyone who recommends products online.
Here’s my honest answer.
I’m a Registered Nurse — and that changes how I evaluate everything
In nursing, you don’t take claims at face value. You look at the evidence. You ask: Is this safe? Does it actually work? Does the benefit justify the cost? And critically — does it hold up in real life, not just in an ideal scenario?
I spent years in critical care, where the stakes of a wrong recommendation were high. That clinical skepticism is now built into how I think about everything — including kitchen tools and hair care products.
When I look at a product, I’m not asking “does this seem interesting?” I’m asking:
- Is the quality genuine, or is this marketing?
- Is it safe for everyday use?
- Does it actually do what it claims?
- Would I recommend this to someone I care about?
If a product doesn’t clear all four, it doesn’t make it onto this site.
I’ve been using these products myself — for years
I first joined Pampered Chef in 1995. That’s over 30 years of using these tools in my own kitchen, with my own family. I know which products earn their place on a counter and which ones end up in a drawer. My recommendations aren’t based on a press kit — they’re based on decades of real use.
The Monat story is different, and it matters. I noticed my hair thinning — a side effect I later connected to a GLP-1 medication. As a nurse, I researched thoroughly before trying anything. I went through multiple products and programs that didn’t deliver. When I tried Monat’s IR Clinical System, the results were clear within three weeks. I became a representative because I believe in the product, not the other way around.
I’ll always tell you what I actually think
I’m not going to oversell something just because it earns a commission. My RN background and 30+ years of Pampered Chef relationships are worth more to me than a sale that isn’t right for someone.
If a product has a limitation, I’ll mention it. If something works better for a specific type of person, I’ll tell you that too. You deserve honest information — the same thing I’d give a patient or a friend.
The short version
- Registered Nurse — trained to evaluate quality, safety, and real-world effectiveness
- 30+ years with Pampered Chef — I know these products deeply, not superficially
- Personal Monat experience — I came to it as a skeptical patient, not a salesperson
- No pressure, ever — my goal is to help you find what works, not to close a sale
That’s why I built quizzes for both sides of what I do.
Whether it’s your kitchen or your hair routine, I’d rather ask you a few questions and give you a recommendation that actually fits your life — than point everyone toward the same products and hope for the best.
