Red Velvet Flag Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) red velvet cake mix, plus ingredients listed on box
  • 1 container (16 oz) cream cheese frosting
  • 1 pint blueberries

Directions

  1. Prepare the cake mix according to package directions.
  2. Using a medium scoop, distribute batter evenly into the wells of a brownie pan.
  3. Bake according to package directions. Remove from oven and allow cakes to cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, slice each cake in half horizontally.
  5. Pipe cream cheese frosting onto the bottom half using a decorating tool with a star tip.
  6. Place the top half of the cake over the frosting.
  7. Pipe additional frosting on top to create “stripes,” then add blueberries to resemble “stars.”
